Kai Trump, the granddaughter of President Donald Trump, made waves by verbally committing to play college golf at the University of Miami.

She will be officially joining the ranks of rising NCAA athletes balancing championship ambitions and brand power. The 2026 recruit already has eyes on the pro tour and is doing everything possible to get there — from grueling practice sessions to high-profile brand deals.

And make no mistake: this isn’t some vanity hobby. “Yeah, it is. 100%,” she told Fox News Digital when asked whether professional golf was the endgame.

Kai has been on this path since she picked up her first club at the age of two. Now, after years of sharpening her skills on the green and building a massive social media following off the course, she’s gearing up to bring both worlds together in a big way — starting with the Hurricanes golf team.

Her approach? Ruthless focus and no wasted time. “If I have two hours, I’m not gonna hit a few balls, go on my phone and scroll,” she said. “I’m going to take full-on advantage with the time I have on the course.”

That kind of discipline is rare, especially for someone juggling viral-level content creation and a national spotlight — but Kai credits her competitive edge to her family environment. “I just have a very competitive side to me,” she explained, flashing a grin. “Especially having brothers and a big family. You have to be competitive sometimes.”

Kai Lands NIL Deal with Accelerator

The Trump name isn’t just a legacy — it’s a brand. And in today’s NIL era, Kai’s capitalizing early.

This month, she became the first golf athlete to sign with Accelerator Active Energy, not just as a face of the brand, but as an equity partner. The same brand that launched “The Livvy Fund” with college gymnastics superstar Livvy Dunne and partnered with NFL icon Travis Kelce now adds another high-profile name to the roster.

Kai announced the deal in a tongue-in-cheek, presidential-style video addressing “fellow Americans and content creators,” underscoring her ability to blend strategy, self-awareness, and star power. “It’s pretty cool, especially being partners with such great athletes and being up there too with them,” she said.

From family legacy to fairway dominance, Kai Trump is stepping out from the shadows and into her own spotlight — with a driver in one hand and a growing empire in the other.
