Charlie Woods has claimed the highest NIL valuation in collegiate golf history, despite a season that has produced few standout results on the course.
According to the latest Collegiate Golf NIL market values, the 17-year-old son of Tiger Woods has an estimated NIL valuation of $3 million. The figure is the highest recorded since the publication introduced its golf NIL rankings in 2024, placing Charlie comfortably ahead of every other player in collegiate golf.
Tournament Results Tell a Different Story
The valuation arrives during a season that has been difficult from a competitive standpoint. Charlie has played seven ranked tournaments in 2026, with his best finish coming at the Junior Orange Bowl International in January, where he placed 19th. Since then, he has not recorded another top-25 finish.
His most recent outing proved even more challenging. At the AJGA Simplify Boys Championship, Charlie finished second-last in the field, ending the tournament 31 shots behind champion Grayson Baucom. The result continued a stretch of modest tournament performances that stand in sharp contrast to his soaring commercial value.
The disconnect between results and marketability illustrates how NIL valuations extend well beyond scorecards. While tournament success remains an important factor, an athlete’s public profile, social media reach, and overall name recognition often play an equally significant role. Charlie’s status as the son of 15-time major champion Tiger Woods, combined with more than 164,000 social media followers, has made him one of the most recognizable young golfers in the country before he has even begun his collegiate career at Florida State University.
Familiar Names Dominate the Rankings
Charlie is not the only familiar name near the top of the rankings. Kai Trump, granddaughter of President Donald Trump, ranks second with an estimated NIL valuation of $2.25 million. Kai has built a substantial online following, with roughly 3 million Instagram followers, giving her one of the largest social media audiences among young golfers. Her connection to Charlie extends beyond the rankings, as she is the daughter of Vanessa Trump, who is dating Tiger Woods.
Third on the list is Miles Russell, Charlie’s future Florida State teammate. Russell holds an estimated NIL valuation of $1 million despite arguably having the strongest competitive résumé among the three. He currently sits atop the AJGA rankings and is ranked No. 5 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. His 2026 season includes a victory at the Junior Invitational along with runner-up finishes at both the Jones Cup Invitational and the AJGA Simplify Boys Championship.
Russell’s position behind Charlie and Kai underscores that elite performances alone do not determine NIL value. Visibility, family recognition, media attention, and audience engagement have become powerful drivers of an athlete’s earning potential.
NIL Expectations Have Followed Woods’ Son for Years
The possibility of Charlie attracting major NIL opportunities has been discussed for years. Back in 2024, his former high school coach, Toby Harbeck, acknowledged that interest was inevitable.
“I’m sure someone’s going to approach him with NIL,” Harbeck told reporters at the time. “They’re so smart, and they’ve got such good people around them that I think the only thing we need to be careful of is making sure we’re all aware of what’s going on.”
Charlie is reportedly represented by Players Group Management for NIL opportunities as he prepares to begin the next chapter of his golf career. Whether his tournament results improve in the coming months remains to be seen, but his commercial value has already reached an unmatched level in collegiate golf.
