The 2025 Rocket Classic is officially heating up, and with a player lineup like this, Detroit Golf Club might just host its most electric edition yet.

After a 2024 field that left many fans underwhelmed, tournament organizers have fired back with a loaded cast of top-tier names, household favorites, and rising stars, giving this year’s Rocket serious juice.

A-List Commitments Headline the Buzz

Let’s start with the splashy arrivals. Patrick Cantlay, Keegan Bradley, Max Homa, and Tom Kim are all in. That’s four major fan draws, all inside the world’s top 50, with Cantlay currently sitting at No. 16.

Collin Morikawa will be joining them, who is ranked No. 4 globally and arguably the biggest name in the entire field. He’s back in Detroit for redemption after that heartbreaker in 2023 when he lost in a playoff to Rickie Fowler.

Fowler is in, along with Cam Davis, Tony Finau, and Nate Lashley, who are former Rocket champions. Davis, in particular, will be gunning for a three-peat after taking the crown in 2021 and again in 2024.

That’s not just a who’s-who of PGA Tour notables—it’s a tournament with narratives.

Max Homa, once one of the hottest names on Tour, is trying to find form again and is a must-watch anytime he tees it up. Tom Kim, the energetic young star with three PGA Tour wins already, brings flair and firepower. Then there’s Min Woo Lee, fresh off his first Tour win at Houston, ready to add more shine to his breakout season.

You’ve also got a mix of veterans like Zach Johnson, who’s played every Rocket Classic, and Brandt Snedeker, set to lead the U.S. Presidents Cup team in 2026. Add Aaron Rai, another 2024 Rocket runner-up, and you’ve got a blend of firepower, finesse, and experience that raises the ceiling for what this tournament could be.

Seven Top-50 Players (And Counting)

seven players ranked in the top 50 already committed, and more likely to join in the coming weeks. The 2025 Rocket Classic is stacking up to be a solid field and one of the PGA Tour’s sleeper show-stoppers this summer.

Tournament week runs June 26–29, and the excitement is already palpable. Whether it’s Morikawa’s quest for revenge, Bradley’s bid to prove he can still play while captaining Team USA or Davis looking to make Rocket history, there’s no shortage of drama.

As Rocket Companies president Bill Emerson put it, “From Ryder Cup legends to rising stars… the momentum is real.” And this time, the Rocket isn’t just firing—it’s launching.
