Paige Spiranac has built an entire brand around turning heads on the golf course, but even she seemed caught off guard by what happened Monday when one of her latest videos got slapped with an age restriction.

The longtime golf influencer was out getting some practice swings in and posted a simple clip from the course. No wild antics. No over-the-top outfit. No attempt to push boundaries. Just Paige working on her game in standard country club attire while launching drives down the fairway. Yet somehow, the post ended up flagged.

Given Spiranac’s online reputation, the reaction immediately raised eyebrows. This wasn’t one of her more revealing looks that usually sends social media into a frenzy. In fact, longtime followers noticed this was probably one of the most covered-up appearances she’s posted in a while.

There was no instructional gimmick attached to the video either. No attempt at shock value. Just golf.

Naturally, Paige handled the situation with humor instead of outrage. She joked that maybe her swing was simply too smooth for the algorithm to handle.

“I know my swing is so pure it’s sexual, but to have an age restriction on this post where I’m the most covered up I’ve ever been is wild lol,” she wrote.

That response only added to the confusion surrounding the restriction. It looked less like a legitimate moderation decision and more like an automatic trigger being applied to one of her posts out of habit.

Social Media Moderation Strikes Again

Given how often social media platforms struggle to apply their own standards consistently, that explanation feels more believable than the idea that this specific clip crossed any line.

Spiranac has spent years balancing golf content, internet fame, and constant scrutiny over what she wears on the course. Every outfit becomes a debate. Every post turns into discourse. Despite that, she’s continued growing into arguably the most recognizable golf influencer in the world.

The bizarre flagging incident quickly became another example of how unpredictable online moderation can be. A harmless practice video somehow triggered restrictions, while countless far more provocative posts across social media avoid any penalties at all.

Spiranac Has Bigger Problems Than Algorithms

The timing isn’t ideal for her either. Summer content season is ramping up, she’s been spending more time practicing, and she recently admitted she’s dealing with some driver yips that have been throwing her off.

At one point, she even joked that her yellow-painted nails might somehow be part of the problem.

The last thing she probably wants is random censorship headaches while trying to lock her swing back in before the busy summer stretch. Paige posts golf swings every week, but somehow the fully clothed practice session turned out to be the dangerous one.

Only on the internet does that make sense.
