When Dylan Wu stood over a 20-foot birdie putt with a PGA Tour card hanging in the balance, there was no room for second place. It was sudden death, one hole, one chance, and the 29-year-old delivered.

Wu’s clutch performance on the first playoff hole of Q-School at Dye’s Valley Course in Ponte Vedra Beach wasn’t just a highlight; it was a career-saver. He and Ben Silverman had grinded through 72 holes to tie for fifth, a finish that would’ve secured both players’ PGA Tour status in years past. But 2026 brings a tougher reality: ties no longer stand. Only one could claim the final golden ticket to golf’s biggest stage. So they marched back to the 18th tee.

Both men found the fairway. Both approached with precision. But Wu’s second shot nestled 20 feet from the pin, while Silverman faced a trickier 35-foot look. Silverman missed. Wu didn’t. With one smooth stroke, Wu buried the birdie, and with it, claimed the last full PGA Tour card on offer.

Wu’s Long Road Back to the PGA Tour

It’s a turning point for Wu, who had split time between the PGA and Korn Ferry tours this past season but never quite cracked the upper tier. He finished well outside the number for full 2026 PGA Tour status on both circuits. This one putt, under sudden-death pressure, changed everything, the kind of shot careers hinge on.

Ewart Leads the Way as New Names Break Through

At the top of the leaderboard, A.J. Ewart made his own statement. The 26-year-old Canadian stormed to medalist honors with a final-round 66, finishing 14 under for the week. Ewart, who’s played only two PGA Tour events, both missed cuts, will now face an entirely new challenge: a full season at the sport’s highest level.

Behind him, a three-way tie at 12 under saw Adam Svensson, Alejandro Tosti, and Marcelo Rozo round out the top five. Svensson and Tosti are returning to the Tour. But for Rozo, a 36-year-old Colombian who hasn’t teed it up on Tour since 2021, this marks a comeback with teeth.

And while only five earned full cards, others walked away with hope. The top 40 and ties secured guaranteed Korn Ferry Tour starts for 2026. For some, it’s a platform. For Wu, it’s the dream, realized with one pressure-packed putt.
